New in 2013 for Generations in Aviation is Mark Thomspon’s accurate re-creation of a WWII “Nissen Hut” (Quonset Hut was used more for the Pacific Theater). As you enter the loft floor of the hangar, your first impression is an artistic backdrop of Debden England Airbase with Sizzlin‘ Liz in the foreground. The hut’s decor was inspired by original photographs and original memorabilia from Ace Gerald ‘Monty” Montgomery, pilot of Sizzlin‘ Liz during the war. Additionally many original artifacts from WWII can be found throughout the hut and around the hut area.
